The famous American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger has recently put one of his many fabulous real estate properties up for sale. The property is a magnificent French chateau-style mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut, at the top of Round Hill, the town's highest point, which offers stunning views of Long Island and the world's most famous skyline, Manhattan. The luxurious residence of almost 9 hectares was built in 1939 at the behest of Charles Paterno, a naturalised American Italian real estate magnate. The villa has six suites, six fireplaces, a swimming pool, a tennis court, majestic gardens that skilfully blend French and English styles, a fountain, a water garden, a greenhouse and a guest house. Hilfiger, who bought the property in 2010 for $31.3 million, has set the asking price at $45 million, or €37.5 million.
