252 East 57 is the name chosen for the new ultra-luxury skyscraper built in Manhattan on 57th Street, better known as "Billionaire Row", at the intersection of the Upper East Side and Sutton Place neighborhoods. The project, coordinated by the architect Roger Duffy, draws inspiration from the iconic vase of Finnish designer and architect Alvar Aalto exhibited at the MoMA in New York, following the curvilinear shapes that have allowed to create a design that uses glass in an innovative and contemporary way. Inside, 252 East 57, starting from the 36th floor, features 93 luxurious apartments signed by famous interior designer Daniel Romualdez, with prices starting at 4.5 million dollars to almost 30 million (29.75) for the penthouse. The skyscraper has a 22 meter swimming pool, health club and private club on the 34th floor, cinema, gym, conference room, billiard room and library curated by the renowned Strand. The New York skyscraper, designed by the Skidmore Owings Merrill international studio, which has to its credit the world's tallest building (the Burj Khalifa in Dubai), at a height of 213 meters is intended to further modify the Manhattan skyline. The latter, on 57th Street two blocks from Central Park, joins the list of brand new and very expensive skyscrapers mainly inhabited part-time by the world’s super-rich, including 432 Park Avenue designed by architect Rafael Viñoly, where, in 2014, the apartment on the 96th floor sold at the modest sum of 95 million dollars, making it one of the most expensive ever.
